Mojito Recipe

The Mojito is probably the most popular cocktail worldwide due to its delicious blend of mint, lime & rum.

The original cuban mojitos are served with cubed ice and are less watered down than the mojitos served with crushed ice. The crushed ice mojito originated in Europe and the extra chill & dilution quickly caught on and is how most mojitos are served outside Cuba.



  • 45ml Rum
  • Teaspoon of sugar or 15ml sugar syrup
  • Half a large lime cut into wedges
  • 7/8 mint leaves
  • Crushed ice (or ice cubes)
  • soda water
  • Method

    Cut the lime into wedges and put into a hi ball glass with the sugar and mint.

    Muddle the lime and sugar together to create a paste but be careful not to over muddle and damage the mint leaves. Add crushed ice to the top and then the rum. Stir to mix then top up with crushed ice and soda. Garnish with a wedge of lime and sprig of mint.
